Ashish Chowdhry in
Ek Mutthi Aasmaan

Ashish Chowdhry plays Raghav Singhania, a brooding businessman out to avenge his father's murder in Ek Mutthi Aasmaan, a popular serial on Zee. A quintessential Hindi film hero, who looks tough, but is soft from within. The current track of the show has Singhania in a confused state of mind as he's in love with Kalpi (Rachna Parulkar), but gets close to Pakhi (Shirina Singh) to take revenge on her father. Ask Chowdhry about the character and he says, 'In television, everything keeps changing, so as of now even I don't know what will happen. But revenge is pretty much the crux of the story, and it will shake up the love story a bit. Personally, I want the revenge track to happen as I'm a huge fan of this American show Revenge. My character in Ek Mutthi… is slightly similar to that of Emily Vamcamp. But a love story is also important in a show, so that will be around too!'
The actor though is extremely happy with the kind of feedback he's got for his performance. 'I'm glad I got to play a character like Raghav, because there's so much I get to do here, in terms of the various moods and emotions. It's satisfying. I've been getting some good feedback, but I feel I want to be able to contribute to the creatives, but television is completely a channel and the writer's medium. I wish I could get into the creatives sometime,' says Chowdhry.
